Privacy Policy
1. Who handles your information
This notice explains how La-Udher handles personal information through laudher.com and the customer enquiries connected with our shop. Zainub Cajee is responsible for privacy requests.
Our business address is Upper Level Unit 9, Platinum Square, 2 Protea Avenue, Lenasia Ext 3, 1827, South Africa. Email info@laudher.com with privacy questions or requests.
2. Shopping, accounts and enquiries
We use information you provide to answer enquiries, manage customer accounts, process purchases and payments, arrange delivery, handle returns and support you. This can include your name, email address, telephone number, billing and delivery details, order and payment references, and the information you include in a message.
You can shop as a guest or choose to create an account. Account details support sign-in and future purchases. Fields marked as required are needed for the relevant service; if necessary information is missing, we may be unable to complete that request or delivery.
Necessary account, order and customer-service messages are separate from promotional emails. Customer-care replies use info@laudher.com, order messages use orders@laudher.com, and account messages use accounts@laudher.com. Copies of business communications may remain in our business inboxes.
3. Payments and delivery
When you choose Payfast, information needed to process or support the payment is shared with Payfast, such as the purchase amount and relevant billing and contact details. Payfast handles the payment through its service. We also use payment references and confirmations to administer orders.
For deliveries, we provide the relevant delivery and contact details to The Courier Guy or Fastway. The courier needs these details to arrange and complete delivery.
4. Staff and service providers
Authorised staff can access customer orders, enquiries and business inboxes to fulfil purchases and provide customer service.
WordPress and WooCommerce run the shop. Hostinger provides website hosting and backup services. Titan supports website email delivery and role mailboxes, and forwarded staff mail is also handled in Gmail. Google services support website measurement and spam protection. These providers handle information needed for their respective services.
Information handled by service providers may be processed outside South Africa, subject to applicable data-protection requirements.
If you choose to contact us through WhatsApp or Instagram, your communication is also handled by that platform under its own privacy terms.
5. Website use, cookies and Google services
The shop uses cookies and similar technology for functions such as the basket, sign-in and website preferences. Website use can also involve technical information about the browser or device, pages visited and how a visit reached the shop.
Google Analytics is connected to help us understand visits and website interactions. WooCommerce order attribution is enabled to associate orders with referral sources or campaigns and session activity. Google reCAPTCHA helps protect forms from spam and automated abuse.
If you choose the “Sign in with Google” option, Google’s privacy terms also apply to that sign-in.
Read how Google handles information from sites using its services at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and its privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
You can use your browser’s cookie controls to manage stored cookies. Restricting some cookies may affect shopping or sign-in. Browser cookie controls and Google’s own privacy controls do not necessarily stop every request to Google or every form of processing.
6. Newsletter and marketing choices
The newsletter form records the email address you provide and sends a signup acknowledgement. It is intended for people who choose to hear about La-Udher collections and offers.
A purchase, enquiry or old customer account does not by itself mean that you agreed to every promotional use of your details. Any marketing use must have an appropriate legal basis and respect your choices.
You can ask us to stop promotional messages by emailing info@laudher.com. Stopping marketing does not stop necessary messages about your account, purchase, return or privacy request. If a separate mailing service is introduced, this notice and the relevant signup or message information will be updated as needed.
7. Keeping information
Different information may need to be kept for different purposes. Our order and invoice records are currently kept on this website. Retention depends on the purpose for which information is lawfully needed, including the service involved, applicable accounting and tax duties, unresolved disputes and other lawful requirements. A website account or order-cleanup setting does not remove those obligations.
Access, correction and deletion requests are subject to the applicable legal requirements. Deleting an account does not necessarily remove information that must lawfully remain in order, invoice, communication or backup records. Contact info@laudher.com about the information and retention circumstances relevant to your request.
8. Your privacy requests
You can ask what personal information we hold about you and request access, correction or deletion where the law allows. You can object to applicable processing and withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Contact Zainub Cajee through info@laudher.com.
We may ask for reasonable information to verify that a request relates to you before releasing or changing personal information. Only provide details needed for your request. A request will be considered alongside any lawful reason to retain information.
You may also complain to South Africa’s Information Regulator. Its POPIA process and official forms are available at https://inforegulator.org.za/popia/ and https://inforegulator.org.za/popia-forms/.
